Our reception is in the smaller ballroom of the Holiday Inn Pittsburgh Airport, the G.W. Ferris Ballroom (as in the Ferris Wheel). The ballroom is beautiful even without decorations.  The hotel is newly remodeled; the ballroom looks great! For photos of a room and our ballroom, visit their website.

As you may have already read, PLEASE BE AWARE that Beers School Road, where the HI is located, was recently renamed.  The new road name is UNIVERSITY BOULEVARD. The new signs may or may not be posted at the time of the wedding.  Unfortunately, we were not aware talks to rename the strip were under way, and invitations were printed with the old name. We apologize for any confusion.

At any rate, it is unlikely that you will miss the Holiday Inn no matter which direction you are coming from.  The building is huge.  Here is a photo:

TIPS:
  • be very careful any time you must make a left turn into the hotel. The entrance sits at the crest of a hill and it is sometimes very hard to see oncoming traffic until it crests, making for a potentially dangerous situation.
  • a free shuttle is available between the airport and the hotel, but the shuttle is not available for travel throughout town (sorry). Contact the reservation desk if you need the shuttle.

We have reserved a block of rooms for both Friday and Saturday nights. The HI's rooms are beautiful and have many amenities. The room rate is $69 a night; if you did not receive a room block code for reservations and are planning to stay over, e-mail us. If you don't have the code, we believe you can just ask for the Engle/Caudill wedding rate.
